Butterflies (2005-2006)

Aluminum, semi-precious stones, glass beads, silver

This installation was completed
in 2006. It was a long process
that involved cutting butterfly
shapes out of aluminum sheets,
punching hundreds of hole
using a hammer and needle and
beading with nylon coated wire
using semi-precious stones,
glass beads and silver findings.

Each butterfly took an average
of 50 to 100 hours of work
to complete.
